About DJ Zai99

DJ Zai99 is an Atlanta-based open-format DJ, musical connoisseur, and cultural curator dedicated to sounds that make people move. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Zai has quickly carved out a distinct lane in Atlanta’s underground scene, renowned for his flawless transition skills and borderless global curation.

As a defining resident selector for Octave ATL and a foundational staple of the ButterflyZ Collective, Zai has heavily shaped the collective’s sonic footprint across multiple seasons. From spinning deep, soulful selections of alternative rap and R&B to delivering high-octane global dance sets featuring the likes of Daft Punk, KAYTRANADA, and Fred again.., his curation is rooted in a “no-skips, just-vibes” philosophy. Whether commanding an intimate electronic lounge or anchoring massive Afro-diasporic parties, DJ Zai99 consistently brings the perfect balance of groove and high-energy rhythm to the ButterflyZ global broadcast platform.
